So, what’s Screenwise?

We’re glad you asked! As you probably know, organisations use market research for a better understanding of how users interact with their products and services…and Google is no different.

The company is looking to learn more about people’s media habits, on the web and elsewhere, and develop new and improved opportunities for their users, customers and partners.

That’s why it’s conducting its own market research programme around the world. Yes, you’ve guessed it…Screenwise Select Panel.

The Screenwise Select Panel in the UK is being run by Kantar, one of the world’s leading market research groups, and is intended to build a picture of TV and Internet usage at home.

You might be wondering why membership to the panel is by invitation only?

That’s because it’s vital that we get a fair reflection of technology usage patterns across the population. That’s why panel members are handpicked, so we hear from a representative group.

Perhaps you’re also wondering if the panel is for you because you don’t watch much TV or go online frequently? Rest assured; it is! In fact, that’s exactly what we’re interested in capturing.

People watch TV and browse the internet differently, so it doesn’t matter how much or how little TV you watch or use the internet. What matters is getting an accurate picture. Thanks to people like you.
